The recruitment industry is notoriously competitive and it is vital to stand out from our competitors. At Sellick Partnership we pride ourselves on going the distance in terms of the service that we provide to both our candidates and our clients.
One of the ways that we do this is by hosting free CPD events across the country throughout the year. One of our recent events was in September and was held in London. As our office is based in Manchester we always look forward to the events in London as it provides a fantastic opportunity to meet and catch up with our locums and clients.
The topic of the CPD was 'Social Media in the Workplace'. The course provided an update on the growing phenomenon of the issues that arise out of social media, in particular the issues that have arisen within employment law. The seminar was both interesting and informative as although I am not a lawyer, I have very much grown up in the era of Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, so it was interesting to find out the potential implications of your online activity!
The event was hosted in conjunction with 7 Bedford Row Chambers which was a fantastic venue and an easily accessible location. The speakers - Patricia Leonard and Jeffrey Jupp, provided informative seminars and were on hand afterwards to discuss any issues or answer any questions. Drinks and nibbles followed which provided a great opportunity for us to speak with our locums as well as for our candidates to meet others working within the same legal field.
The event was attended by over 50 lawyers and was a huge success! We have received positive feedback from both clients and candidates and are looking forward to our upcoming events. Sellick Partnership would like to thank all those who attended and helped organised the event, it was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
We have a number of CPD events coming up so if you are interested please e-mail cpd@sellickpartnership.co.uk or call the office on 0161 834 1642!
