Candidate Registration and Screening

Candidate registration and screening services

Sellick Partnership prides itself on the strict internal quality system that it has in place to ensure the effective testing and screening of candidates, so our clients receive the best candidates available within the market place. Recruitment practice and procedures are as open and as barrier free as possible.

Prior to us working with candidates and commencing the interview process, all candidates fill in a registration form covering the following:

  • Personal details are confirmed
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United Kingdom will be verified
  • All work permits for temporary workers will be checked for legitimacy, and copies taken and retained on the candidates file. Copies of renewals will also be obtained
  • Clarification and checking of all relevant qualifications with the issuing bodies
  • Assessment of the candidates ability, key strengths, skills and achievements
  • Value added to previous organisations via interim and permanent employment, assessed via written and verbal references
  • Establishing the candidate’s requirements, what they are looking for in terms of technical content of a role and type of organisation they are looking to work for
  • Salary/rate requirements
  • Location requirements
  • Photographic ID is requested

On completion of this stage, all candidates are interviewed face-to-face by a fully trained and experienced recruitment consultant at the local office. All interviews are conducted on an objective basis and deal only with the applicant’s suitability for the job and ability to meet the job requirements.

Identification of suitable candidates

Once the nature and criteria of the role have been established a comprehensive search is undertaken to ensure the right candidates are presented for the position. Our candidate registration process ensures consultants have up-to-date and first-hand knowledge of the candidates immediately available and fully referenced within the market place.

Our database is continually updated and refreshed as candidates commence and complete assignments. And our powerful search engine allows us to access the right people for the role quickly and effectively. It is worth noting we reject 60% of applications we receive on the basis of inappropriate experience/background for our specialised areas.

Once suitable candidates have been shortlisted, they will be submitted to the client.
