April 16th 2014 saw the Sellick Partnership Annual Sales Conference and Awards Dinner at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester. There was a real energy and sense of enthusiasm surrounding the day from everyone in the business.
Personally, it gave me the opportunity to see everyone in the business that I've recruited all in the same room - what better job satisfaction can one have! Standing in a room with all your highly successful, talented recruits...that's when I feel the ultimate pride in my job.
Jo Sellick welcomed all of us, talking about the business as whole and what remarkable talent we have throughout Sellick Partnership. He then went on to talk about what's in store for our future and the vision going forward. The board of directors presented their vision for the business, as well as the opportunities for support and training for all individuals available in order for them to progress within their chosen fields.
I felt that they really showed their commitment to every member of Sellick Partnership, confirming that they will be seriously considered and invested in.
Our new talent policy was also introduced and is now in place, ensuring personal development for all Sellick Partnership employees from day one. We also have a new policy on flexible working, enabling everyone to gain that ever important work-life balance.
Individual awards followed for accolades such as Highest Billing Team and Rookie of the Year, plenty of photographs were taken, and we celebrated a range of achievements from the past 12 months.
We were treated to the most amazing 3-course meal, and nothing was too much trouble on that afternoon.
I would like to add, the desserts were definitely the showcase course and were some of the most spectacular desserts I've ever seen. We couldn't wait to try and got stuck in as soon as they were placed on the table; they were truly mouth watering delights as well as looking the part - it must have been a highly creative and imaginative chef!
We all had a fantastic afternoon and there were many stories to be told in the office the following day. I know every employee at Sellick Partnership had a great afternoon and is proud to be part of this amazing and remarkable journey.
