Thursday 8 March 2018 sees the return of Lawyers in Local Government (LLG) Weekend School which is being held at the Bristol Marriot Hotel, City Centre. Suki Binjal, LLG President will be opening the ceremony this year and Sellick Partnership are delighted to be exhibiting once again.
The Weekend School is an excellent opportunity for local government lawyers, past and present, of all levels to come together to discuss recent law updates, developments and share their successes and challenges. It is a chance to share experiences and hear from those who have lived through the developments of the legal sector. We can’t forget the social aspect of the event and we look forward to seeing who will be first on the dance floor this year!
Over the course of the two days, delegates will be attending a range of workshops and breakout sessions. Specific highlights on law updates include social care, mental health and the EU withdrawal bill. There will also be more strategic sessions which will be focused around corporate management and commercialisation of the public sector.
Sellick Partnership’s Legal Director, Hannah Cottam will also be delivering a session on ‘How to stand out from the crowd’. In an ever-changing and competitive market this workshop can be applied to both clients and candidates alike.
Sellick Partnership will be exhibiting on stand 16 and we have some great prizes to giveaway including an Amazon Echo and Easter eggs, so please do make sure you come and say hello. It will be Laura Hayward, Public Sector Manager and I, Chelsey Newsom, Principal Consultant who will be attending the whole event so there is plenty of time to seek recruitment advice or take part in our Tombola or Contact Card Drop – we look forward to meeting you all!
