The Sellick Partnership Legal team are looking forward to attending the LLG conference next week, which is being held in the very prestigious Assembly Rooms in Bath. This year’s President, Suki Binjal will open the conference on Wednesday 18th October and it will run until Thursday afternoon.

The range of topics are extensive once again and very well thought out. Each session is going to be extremely relevant to today’s local government climate and will arm attendees with some insightful knowledge. Session topics include: Combined Authorities: An Overview of the Landscape, Preparing for the General Data Protection Relations and The Rough Guide to Alternative Delivery Vehicles.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Good Leadership and Collective Governance - builds Sustainable Communities' which is reflected in the two sessions being presented by Sellick Partnership. The first with Legal Director Hannah Cottam which explores the challenges facing legal leaders and up-skilling yourself in a constantly changing environment. ‘Skills Development for Future Proofing Work streams will focus on the need to develop future leaders within local government, and give hands on advice on how to identify and nurture talent. The second session, ‘The Leader as an Emotional Capitalist’ will be delivered by non-Executive Director Rob Gee. Both sessions are not to be missed so please book yourself a place ASAP if you haven’t already done so.

We will also be exhibiting throughout the conference with plenty of edible and drinkable treats so come and say hello and talk to us about your locum requirements or your locum career. We look forward to seeing many of you there.
