City Ambassadors

Has anyone seen the Welcome Ambassador team whilst walking through Leeds City Centre?

Leeds is continuing to become a vibrant and dynamic city and a new found confidence is sweeping the city. A new venture has been launched across the city which will only help boost the economy in terms of investment, trade and tourism.

Leeds Business Improvement District, also known as LeedsBID, is an organisation which helps raise standards, awareness and adds value to businesses across the Leeds area. They are currently working in partnership with The Welcome People to develop a new scheme of City Ambassadors. Many of you may have already seen the friendly team of welcome ambassadors walking the streets of Leeds, due to their unforgettable uniforms (a smart black suit, yellow tie teamed with a matching bowler hat).

The scheme was launched throughout the city to provide the residents and visitors with an overall positive and lasting impression of the city. You will often see the Ambassadors stationed at some of Leeds busiest areas including Briggate, the Corn Exchange, Leeds Station and other major shopping locations. In addition, they will also provide an active role to support city events, conferences and business meetings.

When going to most big cities it can be daunting finding your way around. Whether you are visiting and want to find the best places to shop/eat or if you are attending an interview and are struggling to find your way, look no further, the

Welcome Ambassadors are here to help. They deliver a range of areas of expertise including meeting and greeting tourists, visitors, commuters and business representatives in a complete street concierge package.
