Sellick Partnership are delighted to have been asked to exhibit at the NHS FFF Roadshow at DoubleTree by the Hilton Hotel Nottingham…

So what is FFF all about?

FFF, or Future Focused Finance is about ‘Making People Count’…
In February 2014, the six heads of the finance profession in the NHS came together to form the Finance Leadership Council (FLC) and to initiate Future-Focused Finance.

The FLC members are:
  1. Bob Alexander - Executive Director of Resources / Deputy Chief Executive, NHS Improvement
  2. Paul Baumann - Chief Financial Officer, NHS England
  3. Steve Clarke - Finance Director, Health Education England
  4. Stephen Hay - Managing Director of Provider Regulation, Monitor
  5. Shahana Khan - Director of Finance, George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust & HFMA President
  6. David Williams - Director General, Strategy, Finance and NHS, Department of Health

The NHS has many challenges and they recognise that their people are key to its success and development. FFF have recognised that to deliver the transformation required to bring about their vision, work is being undertaken with three strategic themes in mind:
  • Securing excellence
  • Knowing the business
  • Fulfilling our potential

So how is ‘Making People Count’ achieved?

This can be achieved by…
  • Ensuring that everyone connected with NHS finance has access to the relevant skills, methods and opportunities to influence decision making in support of the provision of high-quality patient services
  • Offering a vision for NHS finance to aspire to over the next five years – this includes everyone who works in finance, in every role at every level

For more information, out the FFF website http://www.futurefocusedfinance.nhs.uk/about

It will give you a better idea of what FFF is all about. There is also an interesting NEWS section where you can read about the happenings in the NHS, and of course the FEATURED BEST PRACTICES area, which has articles such as “Excel Tips and Tricks” and “The Difference 1 Day makes!”

Having supported many regional HFMA events for the last 14 years, we are looking forward to supporting the FFF Roadshow for the first time, showing our continued and long-term commitment to the NHS, on both a national and local level.

The theme of the conference is “Making a difference in the East Midlands, with NHS speakers and workshops running throughout the day.

The agenda for the day includes:

  • Future Focused Finance, East Midlands FSD and East Midlands HFMA Working Together, Making a Difference in the East Midlands – Dr Pete Cross

  • How Can Finance Make a Difference? - Ashley Brookes

For the NHS delegates and Sellick Partnership as specialist consultants, it is a great opportunity to hear from some of the most prominent figures in NHS Finance, along with key policy makers, clinicians and professional experts.

Naturally, attending these events, the focus for us as consultants is on promoting Sellick Partnership and the work that we do as a trusted partner to the NHS. However most importantly, attending events like the FFF Roadshow, gives us a real insight into the marketplace we work within, and in addition providing a chance to meet those who we speak to on a regular basis.

At Sellick Partnership we believe that good and trusted relationships are key to the success of our business.  We believe that people do business with those who they like and trust. By meeting our stakeholders face-to-face, it allows us the opportunity to engage on both a professional and personal level.

If you are planning on attending the conference, our team of specialist NHS consultants will be attending including Daniella Pye and myself.

As with all Sellick Partnership exhibitions, we will have prizes to be won and sweets to help sustain you through the day!

If you are attending this year and do have any recruitment plans that you wish to discuss please do come over and say hello.  We look forward to seeing you all there!
