A recent HR Review released figures of the top UK cities which have seen the strongest growth in employment for 2015. Interestingly enough, Liverpool was ranked number one out of a list of 10.

  1. Liverpool - 45.2%
  2. Edinburgh - 43.3%
  3. Cardiff - 38%
  4. Hull - 34%
  5. Dundee - 33.8%
  6. Manchester - 31.3%
  7. Birmingham - 27.4%
  8. Leeds - 27.4%
  9. Glasgow - 23.4%
  10. Bristol - 23.3%

This really is an excellent result - the city is growing and the economy is better than ever and now we have the figures to prove it! There are lots of exciting opportunities and developments happening around the city, and every day I seem to notice a new building, new apartments, new restaurants!

Over the past 10 years, Liverpool has changed significantly. Like every city we have had our tough times and the people of Liverpool definitely make the city what it is today, I truly love the city and am very proud to be a "Scouser”.

Continued investment has seen the city develop with various companies including Very, TJ Morris and Lime Pictures choosing to base their head offices here.  Liverpool is an amazing place to visit due to the culture and history with huge football clubs including LFC and EFC and is home to the greatest band; the Beatles. The city was also a gateway for mass emigration between 1830 and 1930 with over 9 million people sailing from Liverpool, most bound for North America, Australia and New Zealand.

The Merseyside Maritime Museum is a great place to visit if you wanted to know all about the history of Liverpool.
