Upcoming CPD and JLD events in the North WestAs market-leading specialists in legal recruitment, we pride ourselves on going one step ahead further to add value to the clients and candidates we work with. This includes sponsoring and organising seminars or Continued Professional Development (CPD) events to help develop the commercial acumen and wide skill sets of our legal professionals.

We have previously worked closely with 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square to deliver CPD event focused on topics including Adult Social Care and EU Public Procurement rules, for legal professionals within the public sector. We now have a number of events in the North West  focused on delivering careers workshops for our legal professionals in the Private Practice arena.

Firstly, on Wednesday 25th May I will be at Hillyer McKeown offices in Chester from 6.30pm until 8pm in conjunction with the Chester and North Wales Junior Lawyers Division. I will be giving short seminar on managing your professional online profile, how to put our best foot forward when it comes to your CV, and will be available afterwards for any queries. Non JLD members are welcome to attend, as are solicitors or fee earners of any level. JLD groups are fantastic organisations for young lawyers, so come and show your support!

Then, on Thursday 9th June I will then be holding a CPD seminar with the Barristers of 23 Essex Street Chambers at Dukes 92 in Manchester City Centre close to Deansgate train station from 5:30 to 7pm. Brad Pomfret, Claire Banbury and Nathan Banks will be looking at different ways and means of recovering monies where there are issues with the principal debtor, including guarantees and indemnities, claims against directors and the question of insolvent estates. The event is open to all solicitors and fee earners regardless of level or area of expertise and it's never too early to start accruing those CPD points!

Spaces for both events are limited so to find out more about either of the above events or to book a space, please contact me on catherine.wasilewski@sellickpartnership.co.uk or 0113 243 9775. Book a place
