Interim case study

Sellick Partnership offer a comprehensive and proven solution to a range of clients.

The requirement

We recently worked in partnership with a large General Insurer to build a tailored interim project team to lead the redesign, restructure and rebuild of their Pricing function. The company had been attempting to recruit for various actuarial positions for over four months, with very little success.

The solution

Sellick Partnership’s actuarial team worked closely with the General Insurer to identify key skills, competencies and experience required for each role. Having developed an in-depth understanding of our client’s plan, aims and culture, we quickly sourced seven actuarial professionals. This was done through a range of attraction methods including paid advertising on specialist job boards, executive search and searching candidates already registered on Sellick Partnership’s established and diverse database.

The outcome

As a result of our reputation within the market, our detailed approach and understanding of our client’s requirements, we were able to place seven roles within a three week period. In spite of the short and pressurised timescale, we were able to place high-calibre candidates that met the required specification. This included:

2x Project Heads
2x Modelling Developers
3x Pricing Contractors

Having built a genuine partnership with our client, Sellick Partnership have since been added onto the Preferred Supplier List (PSL) for the organisation and are currently the strongest performing agency. All original contractors have been given lengthy extensions, due to their skills, experience and cultural fit within the business.

Our recruitment solution far exceeded our client’s expectations and as a result the project has remained on track. Two additional contractors have also been placed by Sellick Partnership for new roles within the project.
