Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for an Accountancy Officer to support a busy finance based in South Tyneside. This is a temporary opportunity for 6 months with a view of becoming permanent.

The Accountancy Officer will be responsible for the effective and efficient provision of Financial Accounting services for the organisation and their subsidiary companies, including producing financial information in accordance with strict timetables and short deadlines, resolving queries and the day to day management of the section.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all Control Accounts for the business and subsidiary companies are reconciled on a monthly basis and variances are investigated.
  • Prepare losses & special payments information for Audit Committee
  • Along with the AP/AR Transactional Manager Provides Creditor Payments via BACS and payable orders using Oracle Financials
  • Assisting Accountancy Manager with Final Accounts in all areas pertaining to the role
  • Assisting Accountancy Manager in preparing information for monthly financial reporting to the Board

Requirements:

  • AAT-qualified, or equivalent and actively studying towards CCAB qualification
  • Significant experience in Finance
  • Extensive experience in the use of computerised ledger systems
  • Experience of supervising a team and demonstration of relevant management skills
  • Experience of spreadsheet, database and computerised ledger applications

The post holder will be working in the office, based in South Tyneside.
