My client is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic case worker to join the adults and education section of our social care team. The ideal candidate will have worked in a legal office handling public law care matters or adult matters respectively. Local government experience would be a bonus for this role, but is not a pre-requisite. You might be a mental health paralegal or education paralegal looking to expand on your existing skill set. The successful candidate must be confident and experienced in order to be able to work proactively in a busy team. The preferred candidate will need to be able to work well under pressure, be self-reliant as well as work as part of a wider team.
This role involves supporting the adult and mental health solicitors in the team with their cases. It will provide a great opportunity for a candidate looking to specialise in mental health law to gain an understanding of this complex area of the law. The ideal candidate will have a background in mental health law or education, perhaps this has been gained from within an NHS organisation or another local authority. You must be available to interview at short notice and available to start new assignments imminently.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a legal office, preferably handling adult and education matters. Local government experience would be a bonus for this role but by no means a prerequisite. Use of a car is also preferable but not essential.
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Kate Jasper in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
