Adult Social Care Locum

Rate of pay: £45 - £55 per hour

A busy Local Authority requires the expertise of an experienced adult social care lawyer to join the team, initially for 3 months with the possibility of extension.

Duties will include:

  • Giving advice to clients under the Care Act
  • Managing applications under the Mental Health Act
  • Giving advice to clients including following judicial review
  • Dealing with court of protection matters
  • Experience in education /giving advice to education panels would be an advantage but not essential for this role

This is a varied role and will require the adult social care lawyer to have a high level of knowledge and experience of all matters in relation to ASC.

Applicants will be a qualified lawyer ideally with previous local government experience although candidates with experience of court of protection and mental health law from private practice are also encouraged to apply.

The role is full time and fully remote.
