Adult Social Care Locum is required to join a shared service on an interim basis for a period of 3 months initially with the view of extension thereafter.

The successful Adult social care locum will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive and you will ideally have previous experience of working in the public sector however private practice candidates will be considered. The role will be undertaken remotely during the period of lockdown and the client is ideally seeking office presence thereafter for some part of the week but is also happy to consider complete remote candidates also due to the requirement being urgent.

You will be working with a team of 7-8 solicitors (remotely) and handling your own matters on behalf of three local authorities but also have the opportunity to undertake work on behalf of the NHS and charities giving you an excellent variety of work. Candidates must be able to undertake matters such as Court of Protection, Deprivation of liberty, Mental health and mental capacity related matters. Candidates must be confident in providing advice both written and orally as required.

Due to the increase in matters in the team, the client is ideally looking for someone who is available immediately or able to start on relatively short notice.
