We are looking for a hardworking and resilient paralegal to join the busy adult social care legal team within a well regarded Local Authority based in East Anglia.
A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Adults paralegal/junior to support the Adults lawyers and carry out DOLs. The successful candidate will also be required to undertake related adult protection team tasks, including:
- Prep of Inquest bundles;
- Court of Protection bundles;
- Scheduling of dates and diaries;
- Support related phone calls e.g. to Coroner's office
This role would be ideal for a junior paralegal looking to extend their skills within a Local Authority. A good knowledge and understanding of Mental Capacity Act proceedings and public law (judicial review) proceedings would be beneficial. Experience in a local authority social care legal team is desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate must have experience of dealing with routine legal enquiries and casework and have great organisation and bundling skills. The succesful Adults Paralegal must be able to work under pressure, manage competing deadlines and work as part of a support team and on their own initiative.
