Senior Adults Solicitor

Locum- 4 Months+

South East England

An opportunity has arisen for an Adults Solicitor to join a big, welcoming local authority for a minimum of 4 months on a remote basis. Candidates from both a private and public sector background will be considered and the local authority are flexible around advocacy.

As an ASC Solicitor you will be joining the Community Care team carrying a varied caseload of Adult Social Care matters, such as Court of Protection and Deprivation of Liberty safeguards. Duties will also include:

Key responsibilities:

  • Making/ responding to Court of Protection applications, covering welfare cases, financial cases and Section 21A
  • Representing clients
  • Advising on assessments under the Care Act
  • Advising on Ordinary Residence
  • Representing clients

Required skills and experience:

  • Qualified solicitor with proven experience in ASC Law
  • A thorough understanding/ experience of Deprivation of Liberty safeguards
