Looking for a new Adults Social Care Lawyer role?

A well-regarded London Local Authority have a vacancy for an Adults Lawyer to join their team on a locum contract, initially for 3-months with the scope to extend well beyond this initial period.

The Adults Lawyer will join a friendly and well-supported team. They will work remotely for the entirety of their assignment and will benefit from the flexible work patterns and competitive hourly rate.

While local authority experience is preferential, this council are very open to applications from candidates with a private practice background if they have substantial experience in adults social care law and matters.

The Adults Lawyer will:

  • Handle a caseload including Court of Protection, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and Judicial Review
  • Provide legal advice and assistance to the councils' stakeholders and officers
  • Draft applications, including welfare applications and community DoLS
  • Conducting advocacy as required
  • Mental Health Act and Ordinary Residence Disputes
