Sellick Partnership are working with a London Borough Council to find an Adults Legal Officer to join their team on a locum 3-month contract, working remotely.

The Adults Legal Officer will join a fantastic team will:

  • Handle a caseload including Court of Protection, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and Judicial Review
  • Provide legal advice and assistance to the councils' stakeholders and officers
  • Draft applications, including welfare applications and community DoLS
  • Conducting advocacy as required
  • Mental Health Act and Ordinary Residence Disputes

This is a great opportunity for an Adults Legal Officer with experience in Adult Social Care to either make the move to local government or build on their experience. This is a file holding role where you can progress and develop experience.

Prior experience in Adult Social Care Lawyer is essential for this role but while local authority experience is advantageous, it's not required.
