Adult Social Care lawyer opportunity to join a large social services team in a Kent based Local Authority
The role is primarily working for their client department, covering predominately Ordinary Residence and Judicial Review cases in the main but there is scope to undertake other public law adult social care matters also. You will be joining a busy team but there is lots of opportunities to diversify in other social services matters to include education or childcare. The client is happy to consider candidates at varying levels of experience from newly qualified through to post qualified.
The council offers a lot of flexibility with opportunities to work one day from home and will also consider full time or part time candidates. This allowing the role to be flexible around other commitments outside of work. They have their own in-house counsel on litigated matters so it is not an essential part of the role.
Previous local authority experience is desirable but given the busy nature of this area of law, we are keen to hear from candidates with backgrounds in other sectors such as private practice or central government. The contract is for an initial 3 months but due to the spike in work this is anticipated to be extended.
