Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our well-established client in Crewe on a 12 month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave. The role is an exciting opportunity, which comes along with great benefits and a dynamic team.

The duties of the Assistant Accountant include:

  • Develop, implement and maintain general accounting systems
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Maintain and reconcile ledger accounts
  • Prepare profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements
  • Prepare federal, state and local reports and tax returns
  • Accounts payable duties

The ideal Assistant Accountant will:

  • Be working towards an accountancy qualification (AAT or similar)
  • Possess experience in volume processing of supplier invoices
  • Have attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Have experience in ERP systems (SAP desirable but not essential)
  • Be able to work in a small team but also be a motivated self-starter
