Sellick Partnership are excited to be recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join our internationally-recognised, market-leading retail/wholesale client. The well-established business with a multi-million turnover has experienced continuous growth over recent years and are continually expanding into new markets.
Based in Blackburn, our client are looking to welcome an Assistant Accountant to the team as the business is experiencing some exciting internal development. The role will involve reporting to the experienced Assistant Management Accountant with increasing responsibilities being delegated as the role progresses.
This is an exciting opportunity for any candidate eager to accelerate their accountancy career.
General responsibilities includes:
- Assisting both the purchase and sales ledger (Processing and posting invoices )
- Solving both supplier and customer queries via phone/email
- Assist in the production of financial statements and applications, preparation of spreadsheets, reports and correspondence as required
- Contribute to the company's monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist with end of year preparation and procedures
- Perform ad-hoc duties when required
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar role and ideally be working towards an accountancy qualification (AAT/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent). The candidate must be proficient in Excel.
You must have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to all stakeholders in the business. You must be motivated and strive to complete all tasks both effectively as a team and independently within the specified deadlines.
