A rare opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a global business based in South Manchester, on a permanent basis.
Our client is looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to support new divisions within the company The duties of the Assistant Accountant will be varied and a role to make your own.
The duties of the Assistant Accountant will include:
- Posting and coding of invoices
- Analyse reports and improve the current finance processes and procedures
- Raise customer invoices
- Weekly payment runs
- Customer and supplier query resolution
- Commercial analysis of P&L's
- Accruals and Prepayments
- Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are carried out monthly
- Assist with cash flow forecasting,month end accounts preparation and any ad-hoc projects
The ideal Accounts Assistant will have the following:
- Proven accounts assistant experience essential with a minimum of 2 years' experience
- Experience of logistics or warehousing industry would be an advantage
- High standard of education with literacy and numeracy
- Qualified AAT or activley studying towards ACCA/CIMA qualification
- Experience of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Comfortable liaising with all levels of the business inside and outside Finance.
- A strong understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Excel
- Analytical,articulate,methoical and well organised with an abilityto multi-task and prioritise the workload.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,and confidence to liaise with people at all levels.
