Sellick Partnership are currently working on behalf of one of the largest property management organisations in the region, who are currently recruiting an Assistant Director of Finance and Performance. Our client has a passion for providing high quality homes, where people can be proud to live with person-centred customer support.

Our client has opened the opportunity to welcome fully remote candidates, from a pool of UK wide applicants to this position.

The Assistant Director of Finance and Performance will have strategic and leadership responsibility for a significant service area with a large scale budget accountability in order to achieve key outcomes for the organisation.

Job Purpose:

  • To be part of a cooperative and collaborative management team that assumes responsibility for budget delivery, people and performance management as well as innovative business solutions.
  • To support the Director in providing leadership, vision and direction to those engaged in the provision of the service in line with the Board's vision and priorities and to ensure that these are translated into delivery and its values are embedded at all levels of the organisation.
  • To be accountable for the performance and operational standards through establishment of clear business goals, ensuring it is delivering value for money services in response to the Board's priorities and desired outcomes and to report on progress.

The key responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Finance and Performance will include, but are not limited to:

  • To ensure the organisation manages and utilises its resources with financial probity, and recognise their duty to efficiently oversee the use of the Housing Revenue Accounts
  • To provide financial leadership and support to Building Commercial Enterprise and the organisations charitable subsidiaries
  • To drive a culture of innovation and process improvement projects relating to Finance and Performance to transform service delivery
  • To contribute to meeting political and financial objectives by leading and encouraging innovation in delivery methods and improvements through active engagement with Board, staff, trade unions, service users, communities, schools, partners, providers and businesses to improve outcomes.
  • To assist the Director to fulfil the statutory and regulatory functions of the service including Deputy Chief Finance Officer responsibilities where necessary.
