Sellick Partnership are proud to be recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant for our award winning, internationally recognized client. Based in Preston , a market leading multi-site retail business going through significant growth, have created a new opportunity for one driven individual to join the finance team.
The Assistant Management Accountant will work closely with an experienced Management Accountant to assist in wide range of activities, ensuring the timely and efficient completion of fundamental finance activities. As the role progresses, the Assistant Management Accountant will be given increasing responsibilities in management accounts.
- Assist in the production of the management accounts pack for key business unit
- Business partner with a range of non-financial stakeholders
- Financial control and management of key business units
- Periodic reconciliation of associated balance for business units
- Understand balance sheet position, revenue and cost base
- Weekly Cashflow forecasting
- Managing of business expenses
- Consolidation adjustment for management accounts
- Support the Management Accountant and wider finance team around month and period end, as well as any ad-hoc tasks
The successful candidate will have a strong academic background, ideally working towards their ACCA/CIMA qualification. A degree in Finance and Accountancy is desirable, but not essential for this role. The ideal Assistant Management Accountant will be passionate fast learner with prior experience in a fast paced office environment. Proficiency in Excel is essential, and competence in any accountancy software is desirable.
