Associate Director of Workforce
A well respected NHS Trust in Inner London requires an experienced Associate Director of Workforce for a period of 3-6 months. With a headcount of 3500 employees, this position will be the most senior within HR and will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with the Divisional Operations Directors.
Acting as the Trust's principal human resources management specialist, the Associate Director of Workforce will provide professional advice on all aspects of workforce, recruitment and employee relations practice alongside providing technical and HR advice to the Board.
The postholder will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery of all aspects of human resource management to enable the Trust to deliver its corporate objectives. This will include leading the modernisation of the workforce to support operational delivery to include workforce productivity and support the continuing development of the organisation strategically and operationally.
- Employee relations
- Workforce planning and information
- Coordination and workforce related reporting for national, Board and divisional returns
- Recruitment and retention including staff bank
- Medical staffing including locum bank
- Pay and reward schemes related to staff productivity
- Coordination of CQC and NHSAL standards and staff surveys
- Lead on equalities and monitor workforce requirements
- Occupational health and staff wellbeing programmes
- Provide human resources advice to the Board either directly or via the COO
Previous experience of working within the NHS and within a comparable role is essential for this position as the client requires the postholder to quickly and efficiently become familiar with the role and its responsibilities.
