Paralegal
Permanent, full time
£36,430 - £38,294 + a London weighting allowance of £3,566.
London OR Bristol (Hybrid working, 2 days in the office per week)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a paralegal to join a Central Government regulatory body on a permanent basis. The aim of the Paralegal role is to provide support for a broad range of legal matters relevant to the functions of the organisation and its internal corporate activities. Key responsibilities include undertaking legal research and supporting the lawyers in providing legal advice to colleagues within the organisation.

Required skills:
ESSENTIAL
Experience of many of the relevant legal practice areas, gained through paid practical experience in an equivalent role.
Ability to analyse caselaw and identify complex legal issues
Experience in drafting legal memos
Understanding of the needs of an in-house legal team, and able to proactively find solutions to support the team
Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
DESIRABLE:
Completed relevant postgraduate legal training (for example, the Legal Practice Course, Solicitors Qualifying Examinations 1 and 2, or vocational component of Bar training such as the Bar Practice Course)
