Charities Solicitor


My client, a leading Legal 500 law firm, is looking for a Junior Solicitor (NQ-2 years PQE) to join their Schools & Charities team in Guildford.

The current team provides specialist advice to a wide range of charities of varying sizes and structures and the department are ranked amongst the top firms in this practice area. Areas of expertise within the team include:

  • Setting up and running charities
  • Advice to charity trustees & governance
  • Full range of property advice and transactional support to charities
  • Mergers between charities
  • Appointment as Charity Commission Interim managers
  • Specialist advice to faith-based charities

In this role, you would be acting for a wide variety of charities, from small local associations up to national and international charities. This also includes advising independent schools- my client acts for over 200 independent schools and the majority of these are themselves charitable.
