London based Local Authority seeking a Childcare Advocate to join their experienced legal team. The role will be on an interim basis for a period of 3-6 months initially, with the view of extension thereafter.

If you are a team player, who is self-motivated and committed to supporting and advising Children's Services, then this could be for you!

Childcare Advocate:

  • Barrister or Solicitor Advocate
  • Conducting advocacy at all levels of court in public law childcare proceedings, including:
    - Initial hearings
    - Case management hearings
    - Contested initial hearings
    - Final hearings
  • Providing written advice to clients on new case law and regulations, and providing training to the client department
  • Provide briefings on topical issues and developments in childcare and local government law

This role does not require holding a caseload and the hearings will all be operated on a remote basis.

This is a fantastic team, offering lots of support and therefore, it is a great opportunity to really develop professionally.
