Childcare Lawyer required for an initial 3-6 month period, with the likelihood for extension, to join a local authority based in East Anglia.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Childcare Legal professional to join a friendly, well supported team. Caseloads will be of varying complexity; including child protection and safeguarding matters. Other duties will include:

  • Conducting pre proceeding matters
  • Attending LPM and PLO meetings
  • Attending court covering and managing own care cases
  • Advocacy experience is not essential for this role

Experience of working within a Local Authority is preferred, although applications with a working background in a law firm dealing with Public Law Childcare Proceedings will also be considered. The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or legal executive.

In return, there may be some element to work from home and offer flexible working hours for the right candidate, around court hearings. Competitive hourly rate is offered dependent on experience.
