Childcare Lawyer required to join a local authority based in South London on a locum basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Childcare Lawyer to join a friendly Childcare department within a local authority. Due to the fast paced nature of the work, it is important to this team that the successful Childcare Lawyer demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude, and is able to work with dynamism and professionalism to get the job done in the clients' required timeframes.
The successful Lawyer will be required to hit the ground running and undertake a full childcare caseload of both public proceedings and pre proceeding matters. The client is happy to look at Newly Qualified Lawyers, and Childcare Lawyers from private practice.
Day to day matters may include;
- Care orders
- Supervision orders
The workload will be varied, and will involve attending Legal Planning Meetings, PLO meetings and Advocates meetings.
Employees will benefit from an onsite café and an easily accessible location, due to the council having excellent transport links to the rest of London and the wider region, with Canary Wharf, the City, London City Airport and the new international rail terminal at Stratford all within easy reach of the borough. They have exciting developments taking place in their town centres and neighbourhoods, bringing new housing, schools and leisure facilities.
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Rayhaneh Tehrani in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
