A central London Borough Council are seeking a Childcare Lawyer to join their team at the beginning of February on a locum basis of 3-6 months with the view for extension. They offer 1 day working from home and flexible working hours.
The childcare lawyer will be taking on daily tasks such as;
- Handling a caseload of care proceedings
- Lawyer case working
- Judicial Reviews
- Emergency protection order
- PLO matters
- Casework base - Advocacy in the family, magistrates and crown court
Experience in working within local authorities is desirable, but not vital, as our client is happy to consider childcare lawyers from a private practice or New Zealand/ Australian qualified background with transferable skills. Ideally they would like someone who has an experience with a mixed caseload and advocacy but will consider those with transferable and relevant skills.
