A childcare lawyer is sought by a local authority based in North East London. This is initially a contract role but has strong potential to be extended.

This is a great chance for an experienced childcare lawyer to work for a popular local authority within a fast-paced childcare team. The successful childcare will deal with childcare matters including, but not exclusive to:

  • Emergency Protection Orders
  • Handling PLO matters
  • Undertaking a busy caseload of care proceedings and pre-proceedings cases
  • Conducting advocacy for Case Management Hearings and Issues Resolution Hearings

Our client is happy to consider childcare lawyers with both local authority and private practice experience, although those with public sector experience are highly desirable.

The successful childcare lawyer will also have an enthusiastic nature with the ability to adapt quickly, as they will be running a busy caseload under no supervision.

The Council offers a variety of benefits in return for this service, such as:

  • A competitive salary, benchmarked against other councils and reviewed regularly
  • A friendly and supportive team
  • Working from home arrangements
  • Great transport links, both inside and outside of London

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Alexis Aarons in our Manchester office for a confidential chat.
