We are delighted to be recruiting for a Childcare Lawyer to join a South London Borough Council on a 3-month locum basis, with potential to extend.

The Childcare Lawyer will be joining the welcoming safeguarding team and taking on their own caseload of childcare law matters. They will have a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Attending PLO meetings
  • Dealing with care cases
  • Processing emergency protection orders
  • Dealing with neglect and abuse cases

The Council are ideally looking for a Childcare Lawyer who has previously worked for a local authority, but they'll consider those from other backgrounds, so long as they have dealt with public childcare law and care cases.

The Council offer flexible working patterns, such as 1-day working from home; the rate is competitive and the officers are situated near to transport links.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for shortlisting. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Rayhaneh Tehrani in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
