On behalf of a busy, well regarded Local Authority I am seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Local Government Childcare Lawyer to join their successful team.

Ideally, my client is looking for a Childcare Lawyer who has worked within Local Authority and is experienced handling a large caseload. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing a comprehensive and efficient legal service to Children's Services dealing primarily with care proceedings, but also to include:

  • Handling between 8 - 12 care cases, along with police disclosure files
  • Placement orders
  • Adoption and PLO
  • General Children's Social Care matters
  • Advising on disclosure and Data Protection
  • Attending Legal Planning Meetings, PLO meeting and being on the duty rota

Please note, there is no advocacy required in this post and you will be remote working for the foreseeable.
