An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant to join the childcare team in a North East Local Authority for a minimum period of 3 months.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working as a Legal Assistant. Previous experience gained within childcare law would be desirable although not essential.

Day to day responsibilities may include;

  • Preparing and drafting legal documents including court applications, court order and police disclosures
  • Assisting in the preparation of court bundles
  • Liaising effectively with both internal and external staff and responding to queries as required
  • Attending court to provide support and assistance

This Legal Assistant position will be to start immediately and the successful candidate will be able to commit to working full-time hours.
