A Remote Childcare Lawyer position has arisen for a local authority based in the Home Counties due to an increase in workload within the team. The locum role will be an initial 3 month post but has a strong chance of extension.
The successful Childcare lawyer will be undertaking a caseload of 10-12 in care proceedings and 3-4 PLO or LPM matters. As the caseload is slightly higher than the usual caseloads, there is no advocacy required for the role and you will therefore instruct counsel in relation to this.
The post will remain a remote working opportunity due to the authority not looking at returning back into the office for the forseeable so it is great for those who are looking to continue working remotely. Our client is ideally seeking someone from a local authority background however is happy to consider candidates who have undertaken public care cases within private practice.
Our client is ideally seeking someone who can start relatively quickly so ideally those on a 4 week notice period or less however should you have a longer notice period and are considering the locum market, please do get in touch.
We encourage interested applicants seeking part time or full time to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chelsey Newsom in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
