A great opportunity for a childcare paralegal to join a popular south London Borough! This is initially a locum contract, 3 to 6 months, but has the view to be extended.

The childcare paralegal will have a range of responsibilities related to childcare law, such as:

  • Undertaking own caseload of s7 and s37 matters
  • Supporting childcare lawyers with their caseloads
  • Contacting expert witnesses and preparing witness templates
  • Drafting court documentation
  • Attending court to issues forms and assist counsel

Childcare paralegals with experience of working in a local authority are highly desirable, but childcare paralegals from other backgrounds, with relevant skills, are strongly encouraged to apply. What is essential is experience of public childcare law.

In return for this work, the childcare paralegal will enjoy the benefits of the central location of the Borough Council and its nearby transport links.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for shortlisting. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Rayhaneh Tehrani in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
