Exciting new locum Childcare Paralegal position at a busy London Borough Council!

Our client is seeking a capable Childcare Paralegal to join their dynamic team on a locum basis, starting on a 3 month contract with a view to extend on a rolling basis. The work will be conducted remotely for the foreseeable future and equipment will be provided for home working.

We would like to hear from Childcare Paralegals who have experience of holding their own care files within Local Authority. Due to the urgent nature of the role, our client requires someone who can hit the ground running and start immediately or on short notice.

Duties will include:

  • Managing own caseload including s7 and s37 files
  • Providing some advice on the Children Act & associated regulations
  • Creating and updating bundles for court
  • Chasing evidence and other court documents
  • Drafting care and supervision orders
  • Liaising with third parties and witnesses
  • Attending PLO meetings
