Childcare Barrister / Solicitor Advocate

£50-55 per hour

6 months +

Locum Childcare Barrister or Childcare Solicitor Advocate is required to join a an organisation for a period of 6 months initially and the view to extend thereafter to solely undertake advocacy on behalf of a local authority client.

You will have support from a paralegal who will effectively book in your hearings for you and you will be required to cover the following hearings in relation to public childcare matters;

- Fact Finding Hearings

- Interim and Direction Hearings

- Contested hearings

- Final hearings

The post is currently remote working as the courts are continuing to do their hearings remotely and the client is open to considering candidates who want a flexible working arrangement and could consider picking up hearings adhoc or those who can consider part time or full time commitments. Theu would accomodate the hearings on the days you are available so it could suit someone who is looking to do this alongside another commitment or someone looking for a full time post.
