Children's and Young Persons Domestic Abuse Practitioner


Our client, a leading housing association is looking for an experienced Children's and Young Persons Domestic Abuse Practitioner to join their team on a temporary basis in Staffordshire.

Duties of the Children's and Young Persons Domestic Abuse Practitioner will include:

  • Deliver 1:1/group sessions to support children or young people who have witnessed or experienced domestic abuse
  • Conduct social, therapeutic, learning and development activities whilst providing positive experiences
  • Complete support plans and risk assessments to achieve goals and meet the needs of the person
  • Ensure all work is recorded, collated, updated and saved securely
  • Attend reviews and case conferences including Early Help Assessments
  • Help with managing waiting lists along with the team leader

The suitable candidate will have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or similar
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with children or young people
  • Experience in managing safeguarding issues
  • Possess a fully enhanced DBS
