Civil Litigation Lawyer is required to join a Social Enterprise firm which prides itself on undertaking work for three key Local Authority clients. There is also scope to undertake work for other Public Sector organisations, which gives you a varied and interesting caseload for those who enjoy a real range of civil litigation matters.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Housing matters such as disrepair and possession proceedings
- Request for injunctions and housing applications
- Contract reviews and disputes / construction disputes
- School appeals and reviews
- Queries in relation to constitution
- Debt recovery matters
You will be required to undertake advocacy in relation to housing related matters in the County Court. Those who are keen to undertake other advocacy would be encouraged to do so but it is not a necessity. The position is to cover an open permanent post so you would have the opportunity for long term prospects also.
There is significant support within the team and the client is not expecting you to know all areas of law as training will be provided to you in those areas.
This organisation has three sites and you would have a base in either Shefford, Huntingdon or Northampton. You may be required to travel to the other offices on the odd occasion for meetings to meet the needs of the service but this is more than manageable.
The client is offering flexible working hours and a competitive hourly rate of £40 to £50 per hour. Apply now to avoid missing out on this excellent opportunity.
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chelsey Newsom in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
