We are currently recruiting for a number of local authorities based in the East Midlands, both are seeking Commercial Contracts Lawyers to join their lovely teams.
The ideal candidates will be qualified lawyers with previous commercial contracts experience, this includes:
- Recent in depth knowledge of commercial and contract and public procurement law, practice and procedure at an advanced level
- Drafting experience of variety of contracts including NECs, JCTs, ICT contracts, frameworks and consultancy contracts.
- Advising on company law, state aid, consultation duties and trading powers
- Experience of undertaking contract work within a local government environment
The successful Commercial Contracts Lawyers will be required to take on a varied caseload, which may include:
- Contract disputes
- Breach of contract
- Data protection breaches
- Commercial litigation
- Waste contracts
- Framework contracts
- Enterprise partnerships
- State aid contracts
- Terms and conditions
Both assignments are temporary and will initially begin on a 3-6 month basis, although it is likely that the positions will be extended beyond that.
Our client will consider candidates who are seeking either part-time or full-time employment. They will also allow some flexibility with homeworking.
These local authorities both have centrally based offices and are easily accessible by public transport.
