This is a great commercial and value adding role where you are able to immerse yourself within the company and gain great exposure at a key time in their strategic plan. This is a visible position working closely with senior stakeholders across the business to provide robust commercial insight that will improve decision making, maximise performance and drive initiatives for profitable growth.

You will also be able to demonstrate business acumen and ability to gain knowledge across the breadth of a variety of functions. Good communication skills - able to translate financial information and create successful business relationships. You will also be able to take a 'big picture' view with demonstrable internal consultancy and influencing skills, while possessing a keen eye for the detail

General duties include:-

  • Provide commercial insight and analysis of results, taking ownership, producing and maintaining KPI's, identifying underlying trends and challenging the business on performance.
  • Ownership of the monthly forecasting process which includes maintaining and updating the financial models behind them.
  • Working capital management.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders throughout the firm to swiftly resolve issues which may slow down the timely output and assisting in strategic and operational decision making.
  • Involvement in ad-hoc project work including development and production of business specific reporting tools which are often required on an ad-hoc basis and to tight deadlines

The successful applicant will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified coming from a similar commercial finance or financial planning and analysis (FP&A) role and being able to demonstrate being an effective business partner, decision maker, having commercial awareness and being a finance lead where you have driven value add and commercial insight /benefit. Experience within the legal / law, professional service is desirable.

You will have experience of working in FP&A, strong forecasting, advanced experience in Excel, modelling and data analytics skills. Experience of using Power BI is desirable.

You will have strong business partnering, stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills and in particular the ability to communicate, direct, challenge and influence senior level individuals. Focussed on delivering specific objectives, you will be proactive, adaptable, dynamic and self-motivated with a desire to find and deliver improvements. In addition you will have the ability to work independently and together with other personnel both finance and non-finance.

We are looking for someone with sparkle, drive & energy to come in and really drive some significant improvement. The individual in this role needs to have strong analytical skills, business partnering and influencing skills in order to be a success in a complex area of the business with multiple stakeholders. You will have a creative and innovative approach to problem solving and analysis; delivery orientated - able to work in pressurised environments, meet multiple deadlines and manage own priorities.
