Sellick Partnership has been assigned to recruit a permanent Commercial Finance Manager (Ecommerce) for a very successful and instantly recognisable retail business based in Manchester.
The business has outperformed their competitors over the past few years and will continue to do so by driving their strategic plan, delivering further improvements and changes that will make a real impact on the whole business. Due to the expansion of the business they are looking to develop a digital arm to offer further opportunity to their customers.
In this role you will support the E-commerce team in building this arm of the business, working closely with an experienced digital lead. You will assist them in developing the business case and implementing this on a wider scale.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with a new venture for the business and be a part of a market leading investment. You will assess where improvements can be made in the strategy and present these to the senior management team. This non-finance liaison is at board level including communication with the CEO to explain and challenge the projections.
As this is a senior and visible position working closely with senior stakeholders across the business you will be expected to provide appropriate challenge and influence to stakeholders to ensure they make well informed decisions that improve business performance.
- Building financial models to present the wider business and provide insight to the viability of each stage
- You will assist with developing the overall strategy, analysing and assessing alongside the board to ensure the business moves in the right direction
- You will present information in an easier to understand manor for non-finance individuals in order for them to work within the budget constraints
- You will be responsible for profit and loss within this area of the business and you must be able to quickly resolve any issues that arise
The successful applicant will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified coming from a similar role and being able to demonstrate being an effective business partner, decision maker, having commercial awareness and being a finance lead where you have driven value add and commercial insight /benefit. Experience from an E-commerce background from a food retailer business is essential.
You will have extensive experience creating financial models and business partnering with senior stakeholders. You should be resilient, and adaptable to the changing environment in order to progress with this role.
You will have strong business partnering, stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills and in particular the ability to communicate, direct, challenge and influence senior level individuals. Focussed on delivering specific objectives, you will be proactive, adaptable, dynamic and self-motivated with a desire to find and deliver improvements. In addition you will have the ability to work independently and together with other personnel both finance and non-finance.
You will have a creative and innovative approach to problem solving and analysis; delivery orientated - able to work in pressurised environments, meet multiple deadlines and manage own priorities.
You will also be able to demonstrate business acumen and ability to gain knowledge across the breadth of a variety of functions. Good communication skills - able to translate financial information and create successful business relationships. You will also be able to take a 'big picture' view with demonstrable internal consultancy and influencing skills, while possessing a keen eye for the detail.
