Commercial Financial Controller
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 plus great benefits
Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Balance Sheet Financial Controller for a truly global service organisation in Manchester. The business has grown year on year through acquisition and organic growth and boasts a very healthy turnover and profits.
Reporting to the Director of Financial, this is a key senior position that will be tasked to collaborate with a diverse team, you will be responsible for producing a detailed monthly analysis of the consolidated Balance sheet to develop a deep understanding of monthly variances and ensuring that all risks are appropriately accounting for.
Key duties of the role:
- Liaison with settlement operations and corporate to explain variances and ensure that all risks appropriately identified and accounted for.
- Researches period over period variances in Balance sheet categories and provides logical explanations for fluctuations.
- Review aged rec breaks to ensure that all items appropriately reserved
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders across the business and provide them with specialist advice to help resolve reporting issues
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
The successful applicant will be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA or CIMA) either making their first move from practice (Top 10) or coming from a similar role with knowledge of auditing processes and procedures as well as accounting principles, financial statements, practices and procedures.
Due to the multi-faceted nature of this position it is necessary that the successful individual will have good attention to detail, have a flexible approach to work and problem solving and excellent excel and modelling skills.

Likewise, being self-motivated, adaptable, pro-active (constantly curious) and the willingness to assist in solving problems or questioning wherever possible without passing the problem along is the type of individual we are looking for. You will also possess good influencing skills at senior level, managing deadlines, timetables, multi-tasking and priorities.
