A Local Authority based in the Home Counties is seeking a Newly Qualified Lawyer and Senior Lawyer to join the Commercial Property and Contracts team on a locum basis.
It is essential that candidates have previous experience dealing with Commercial Property and Contracts within a Local Authority.
The Newly Qualified Lawyer will take on a mixed caseload, which may include:
- Acquisitions and disposals
- Leases and licenses
- Goods and services
- EU procurement
- Framework agreements
The Senior Lawyer will be required to take on the above, as well as the additional responsibilities listed below:
- Training officers and counsellors
- Implementing and delivering new initiatives within legal services
- Assisting and covering for the Commercial Team Leader where required
- Advising on governance and data protection
The senior candidate must possess the ability to handle complex contracts and property work, whilst also supervising members of a small team.
Our client will consider candidates who are qualified solicitors or equivalent.
Both roles are to start immediately on a full-time basis for an initial period of 3 months, however, the role may continue beyond that.
