Commercial Lawyer required to join a busy Local Authority in East Anglia on a locum basis. The assignment will begin on an initial 3 months basis, with a view for extension.
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, proficient individual who can hit the ground running in this role. The successful applicant will have previous legal commercial experience within a Local Authority.
As the locum Commercial Lawyer, your clients will include County, City and Borough councils. You will be undertaking a varied and interesting caseload and your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Commercial contracts
- Data protection law
- Construction law disputes
- Commercial agreements for schools (e.g., traded services, loans)
- Novation agreements
- Deeds of variation
Our client is keen to take on-board a well-rounded Commercial Lawyer who will ideally be familiar with digital case management systems.
In return, the client is offering a competitive hourly rate of up to £32 per hour depending on experience. The successful Lawyer will enjoy two days home working and there is potential to work a condensed week after a settling-in period.
