Job Title: Commercial Dispute Resolution Associate Solicitor
Location: Lancashire

The Role: They are looking to recruit a qualified Solicitor / Associate (approx. 5-8 years PQE) with proven commercial dispute resolution experience to manage an existing caseload. In this role, you will provide support to senior fee earners, trainees, and other administrative team members. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Client Engagement: Liaising with and attending clients to understand their needs and deliver clear advice.
  • Case Analysis & Advice: Analysing cases and producing timely, insightful advice for clients.
  • Timely Client Communication: Acknowledging and progressing client calls and queries efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with other parties involved in matters and ensuring precise communication.
  • Documentation & Evidence: Producing case documentation, summaries, and checking evidence, engaging team members as appropriate.
  • Case Management: Managing your own cases in line with compliance and procedural requirements.
  • Document Drafting: Drafting documents for clients under the supervision of senior fee earners.
  • Support on Larger Matters: Completing tasks allocated by senior fee earners on complex matters in a timely manner.
  • Administration Team Liaison: Working with the administration team to ensure thorough task completion in line with team practices and deadlines.
  • Court/Tribunal Attendance: Representing clients in court or tribunal settings as required.
  • Liaising with Counsel & Experts: Coordinating with external specialists to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
  • Team Assistance: Supporting other team members flexibly as required, contributing to team goals, and sharing ideas within the team.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Qualified Solicitor / Associate with 5-8 years PQE.
  • Proven experience in Commercial Dispute Resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to manage cases effectively.
  • Ability to work both individually and within a team, using your own initiative.
  • Client-focused with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Commercially aware with a strong understanding of client needs and goals.

Desirable:

  • Experience in business development and marketing activity.
  • Knowledge of insolvency disputes.
