My client, an award winning firm with a number offices across South Yorkshire are seeking a Commercial Litigation Solicitor or Fellow of CILEx to join their expanding Commercial Division based in either their Sheffield or Barnsley office.
This rapidly growing department are looking for a 'driven' Litigation Solicitor to join their already well established team on a full time permanent basis. They will also consider a part time role for the right candidate.
The caseload will consist of a variety of litigation matters covering both Commercial and Non-Commercial clients, to include:
- Breach of Contract;
- Shareholder and Partnership Disputes;
- Professional Negligence;
- Contentious Trust and Probate Matters;
- Landlord and Tenant Matters;
- Property Disputes;
- Construction Disputes
We would also expect the successful applicant to undertake the following:
- Maintain full conduct of their own case load under the supervision of the Head of Department;
- Deal with new enquiries;
- Attend and conduct client meetings, where appropriate;
- Assist with events planning;
- Get involved in networking with the team on behalf of the firm;
- Be able to source at least part of your own work load;
- We are looking for a Litigation Solicitor of 2-4 years PQE, who is comfortable handling their own range of Litigation matters, with both a good commercial knowledge and non-commercial knowledge, who is also client friendly in their approach.
Some experience of dealing with Employment Matters would be beneficial, although not essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Solicitor to join the firms expanding team during this exciting stage of its development.
The right candidate needs to be self-motivated, hard-working, positive thinking, commercially astute and organised. The role will require conduct of a full caseload from initial instruction right through to completion, registration and file closure.
Candidates should have a proactive approach; ability to take the initiative; strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to supervise administrative staff.
The Litigation Solicitor position is full time; 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
