Locum Contract - Full time

Up to £70 per hour Umbrella or £59.05 PAYE (inclusive of basic PAYE base rate + holiday pay) per hour

London, Hybrid-Working

A Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer is required to join the Central Government team to provide high quality and cost effective Contracts and Procurement services. My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is an experienced Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join their Government team on an initial 9 month contract which is likely to be extended.

As a Commercial Procurement Lawyer, you will be expected to advise on contractual terms and structures and the conduct of competitions under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Smaller matters may include advising on third party terms and conditions and possible variations to public contracts

Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Procurement Lawyer:

  • Advising on contractual agreements
  • Dealing with Commercial contracts, procurement, Production and distribution, data and information management, employment policy and employment employee relations matters
  • Dealing with large technology contracts and public procurement.
  • Critical national infrastructure projects
  • Supporting Junior team members

Required Skills and experience of the Commercial Procurement Lawyer

  • At least 5 years PQE as a Solicitor, Barrister or Equivalent
  • Technology and public procurement experience - ideally both, but at least one.
  • Would need to be operating within IR35
